Phonak's new Venture hearing aid range: Audeo, Bolero & Virto
Jan 05, 2016
As with every area of technology, hearing aid manufacturers are always innovating and creating new pieces of kit for the hearing world.
Here at House of Hearing, we supply hearing instruments from several brands, one of which is Phonak. Phonak recently revealed their newly designed Venture range, featuring three brand new hearing aids, all packed with great technology to improve your hearing experience.
The three new designs in the range all differ, but do share some aspects. The technology throughout the range uses something called AutoSense OS, to listen to the environment you are in, and give you a comfortable and seamless hearing experience. The Venture range comes in four performance levels, incorporating various programmes and features based on the Autosense technology. All performance levels include a Speech in Noise feature which adapts and reduces noise from behind. More advanced performance levels include a feature called StereoZoom, which activates automatically when you’re in a noisy place, to focus on the voice you want to hear. Also included is technology which ensures you can still hear conversation when caught in the wind, as well as the ability to hear speech in 360°, with the hearing aid detecting the direction the speech came from, sending it from one ear to the other. The range features three hearing aids, all in different styles – one is a receiver-in-canal, another a behind-the-ear, and the final an in-the-canal.
First up is the Phonak Audeo V, the receiver-in-canal hearing aid of the range. The Audeo is very small, and almost completely disappears behind the ear. It’s not completely invisible though, which is why it’s available in various colours, such as “Sand Beige” and “Graphite Gray”, to blend with the tones of your skin and hair. More fashionable colours are also available, such as “Ruby” and “Petrol”. As well as providing the high quality hearing of the Venture range, the Audeo also has the option to help manage tinnitus, using some special, efficient technology.
Next in the range is the behind-the-ear Phonak Bolero V. The Bolero, as with the Audeo, is available in eleven colours, some of which are fashionable and personality matching, the others discreet and blending with your skin and hair. The Bolero has an aesthetically pleasing design, and is both water resistant and dust tight.
Finally, we have the Phonak Virto V, the Venture range’s in-the-canal design. Each Virto V is crafted individually to fit inside your ear canal perfectly and comfortably. Although it is very discreet, it is still high quality and performs exceptionally. It’s available in different sizes, some of which are so small, they are fitted to be invisible to those around you. They also come in several colours, including some transparent units.
Overall, the Phonak Venture range has some highly competitive hearing technology, which gives the user a seamless, good quality hearing experience.
